Faculty

Dr. Kar received his master degree in Physics from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar in 2004 and PhD in experimental plasma from Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar in 2011. His PhD thesis was based on the study of excitation and propagation of electrostatic plasma waves. After completion of PhD, he joined in IPR as a post-doctoral fellow from August 2011 to July 2013. Dr. Kar has worked at Indus University, Ahmedabad as Assistant Professor from July 2013 to March 2014. Then he joined at Nagoya University, Japan as Research Fellow from April 2014 to October 2016. Dr. Kar has received the DAIKO Foundation Research Fellowship in 2014 and VBL Research Fellowship in 2016. Since October 2016, he has joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Energy Science and Engineering, IIT Delhi.
