Ashu Verma received her B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT Hamirpur in 2001, M.Tech in Power Systems from IIT, Delhi in 2002 and PhD in Transmission Expansion Planning from Electrical Engineering Department, IIT, Delhi in 2010. She has received K.S. Prakasa Rao memorial award for getting highest CGPA among power system group at IIT, Delhi and Honors degree from NIT Hamirpur with first position in the class. She worked as Assistant Engineer in Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Electric Project, H.P. (2002-2004), lecturer in Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida (2004-2005), Assistant Professor in TERI University, Delhi (2009-2010) and Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida (2010-2012). She joined the Department of Energy Science and Engineering in July, 2012. She has several publications in Journals/Conferences at International level.
Research Interests:
Her present research interest are power system planning, operation and control aspects of integrated renewable energy systems, policy and regulatory framework for enabling large scale integration of renewable energy sources in India.
